Eastern Indiana Human Resources  $400

Annual scholarship awarded in honor of Joseph McDonald, to an Indiana resident, preference given to a Wayne County resident.  Must be a full or part-time student registered in an accredited college or university, preference given to those with a career goal in human resources or a related field.  Applicant should have financial need and demonstrate academic achievement, a positive contribution to community, college, or work.

 

Dr. Tom H. and Annadell S. Ebbinghouse Scholarship for Nurses   $8,400

The scholarship will benefit a Wayne County resident who has been accepted into the BSN degree program at Indiana University East, pursuing the opportunity for RN licensure upon graduation and who at the time of application for the scholarship, has a 3.0 GPA or better on a 4.0 scale. Preference will be given to a student who plans to work in Wayne County following graduation, as determined via an essay required from each applicant.

 

Eileen M. Hunt Nursing and Allied Health  $53,000

To provide scholarships for students to attend Indiana University East or Ivy Tech Community College in Richmond, Indiana, for the purpose of majoring in programs relating to nursing or allied health.

 

Hubert & Grace Jones  $800

Exemplary employee of Reid Hospital in good standing pursuing higher education in the field of nursing and a graduate of Union County High School.

 

Frances Mayhew, R.N.  $1,800

Nursing student pursuing a Bachelor of Science or Masters degree.

 

Reid Hospital Dependent Scholarship - (10 awards in equal amounts)  $10,000

Applicant must be a dependent child of a current Reid Hospital employee and pursuing an undergraduate degree at an accredited university or college.Applicant must be full time course of study in health care related field typically found in a hospital including but not limited to nursing, radiology, respiratory, laboratory, pharmacy, rehabilitative services or medical records.

 

Reid Hospital Graduate Student Scholarship - (4 awards in equal amounts)  $10,000

Applicant must be a full-time fifth year or greater graduate student at an accredited university or college in one of the following majors: nurse practitioner, pharmacy, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, physician, or physician assistant.   Applicant must also be a resident (for at least a year) of one of the following Indiana counties: Wayne, Fayette, Henry, Randolph, or Union or a resident of one of the following Ohio counties: Darke or Preble.

 

Anne E. Sperling BSN  $650

Exemplary registered nurse employed at Reid Hospital in good standing seeking a Bachelor of Science Nursing degree from I.U. East.

 

Anne E. Sperling MSN  $600

Exemplary registered nurse employed at Reid Hospital in good standing seeking a Master of Science Nursing degree enrolled full or part-time at an accredited school.

Frank B. Adney Jr. M.D. Scholarship for Nursing  $3,000

For educational scholarships for students accepted into the BSN degree program at Indiana University East, pursuing the opportunity for RN licensure upon graduation.  Scholarships shall be awards to students who have demonstrated and continue to maintain high scholastic standing and who validate financial need.

 

L.E. Gibbs Memorial  $475

Third year student with financial need studying law enforcement at I.U. East.

 

Benjamin F. and Lanette E. Young Student Scholarship Benefiting Ivy Tech Community College Richmond Region and Indiana University East  $1,000

To provide support for educational scholarships for students who graduate from Ivy Tech Community College Richmond Region and attend Indiana University East, and in particular to such students who meet the following qualifications:  African-American Ivy Tech Richmond Region associate degree awardees who demonstrate financial need and who will be attending Indiana University East during the next academic year.

 

Paper applications may be obtained from the financial aid office at Indiana University East for the following scholarships

 

Mary E. Hill Memorial - (multiple awards)  $5,650 

To be awarded to Wayne County residents studying in the medical field excluding psychology with priority given to minority students.  Selection made by the Mary E. Hill Scholarship Committee.

 

Wayne County College Fund  $4,829 

Renewable last dollar scholarships based on unmet financial need for students attending a Wayne County college.
