In April 2020, a special fund was established to aide those in our community hit hardest by the global pandemic and the ensuing sudden economical changes.

Wayne County Foundation Announces 2021 Lilly Endowment Community Scholar Recipients
The Wayne County Foundation is pleased to announce the selection of two area high school seniors who will receive the prestigious Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship. Congratulations to Michael Davis (Centerville-Abington High School) and Alexis Worl (Lincoln High School) who were selected from a pool of ninety applicants from throughout Wayne County.
Alexis and Michael will receive a four-year, full-tuition scholarship and a $900 annual stipend for required books and equipment to attend an accredited public or private nonprofit college or university in Indiana.
Alexis plans to study psychology at Butler University in the fall, while Michael has expressed interest in studying aeronautical engineering technology at Purdue University.

Wayne County Foundation 2020 Challenge Match Results!
Our 2020 Challenge Match results are in! Between November 2-10, 2020, the annual Wayne County Foundation Challenge Match took place, tasking us as a county to support those incredibly important community-serving organizations. We would like to send a special thank you all forty-nine participating organizations and our incredibly generous Match Partners and donors.
Even in an immensely challenging and difficult year, the community answered the call. In all, $1.83 million was raised for the betterment and vitality of Wayne County.

Wayne County Foundation Welcomes Alex Painter, Community Engagement Officer
The Wayne County Foundation has selected Alex Painter to serve in a newly created role of Community Engagement Officer. He has lived in Richmond since 2006 and is married with three children.
