Nineteen years ago, April, 2001, the Wayne County Foundation announced grant awards which included a $4,000 grant to provide a portion of the start-up funds needed for the development of Communities in Schools of Wayne County.
GivingTuesdayNow is a global day of giving designed as an emergency response to the need caused by COVID-19. Communities are encouraged to take action on behalf of nonprofits and community organizations that feed, house, educate, and nurture neighbors impacted by the pandemic.
The Foundation recently awarded a $2,100 COVID-19 Rapid Response Grant to Richmond Family YMCA. Funds will support the organization’s full-time child care for families that need to work in the essential environment.
