Enhancing the Spirit of Community and Improving the Quality of Life

About Us
You are the guardian of the future for the next generation. They rely on you, me and others…to plant the trees today that will provide the shade tomorrow.
Thirty-nine years ago, forward-thinking leaders in Wayne County formed our community foundation. Thanks to their efforts, we now have over 38 million dollars in assets to support our community today.
During 2016, The Foundation awarded $1.86 million in grants, distributions, and scholarships over the course of the year. This brings the grand total of community support since our inception to more than $26.3 million. As usual, support for education is the single largest program category we address, with scholarships alone accounting for $546,700, representing 345 individual awards.
Our past guardians were wise and good and generous…and we are grateful for their vision. It is now up to us to keep the mission today…tomorrow…forever.
