Funds That Support a Specific Organization or Purpose

The Foundation holds a number of funds that support nonprofit organizations directly. Agency endowed funds are established by nonprofit organizations that wish to ensure their long-term financial sustainability. Agency-designated funds are created by individuals who wish to support certain organizations for many years to come. Non-permanent funds are generally established to assist short-term projects or organizations that have not yet received qualified charity status from the IRS.

Funds That Encourage Continued Donor Engagement

A donor-advised fund is a little like a personal charitable savings account. A donor creates an account and makes a contribution of cash, stock, or other assets like real estate or artwork and can take an immediate tax deduction for the gift.

The accounts are controlled by the Foundation, in that it invests the assets and manages the donor’s account. Once a fund is established, donors tell the sponsoring organization which nonprofits they’d like to donate to from their accounts.
