Tax Day donuts? You bet!
Wayne County Foundation staff had the opportunity to visit several local tax preparers going down the homestretch before Tax Day on April 18. Given how much the Foundation appreciates our local tax professionals, and being cognizant of how busy this time of year is for them, we just couldn’t show up empty-handed!
In addition to visiting traditional certified public accountants across the community, Foundation staff also visited the Natco Community Empowerment Center (NCEC). One of NCEC’s many no-cost programs is tax preparation and filing. In 2021 alone, the Center assisted over 1,000 people file their taxes – completely free of charge. Amazingly, they are on-pace to help even more people in 2022.
