May 28: Grant Writing 201

We’re excited to announce our next training opportunity! The Foundation will be hosting Beyond the Narrative: Advanced Strategies for Navigating the Modern Grant Landscape on May 28. This course will be taught by Morgan Carpenter of Carpenter Nonprofit Consulting, who presented our last grant workshop in October 2025. It will cover more advanced topics related to grant writing, but attendance at the previous session is not required. She will cover topics including strategic grant decision-making and organizational readiness, alignment across narrative, outcomes, and budget in grant proposals, and using AI tools in grant work. It will take place from 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM at the Gennett Mansion, 1829 E. Main St., Richmond. The cost of the course is $75, which includes a workbook and lunch. The deadline to register is May 11.
