The Wayne County Foundation is proud to announce the release of our 2020 Annual Report. The report highlights the Foundation’s role in community leadership, making grants and scholarships, encouraging private philanthropic giving, as well as enhancing the spirit of Wayne County.
‘We hope the stories serve to illustrate the impact of the Foundation’s work throughout Wayne County and show what can be accomplished when people care enough to give generously to support their charitable interests,’ said Foundation Executive Director Rebecca Gilliam.
What’s Inside?
Though 2020 will be remembered as a year of unprecedented challenges and hardship, Wayne County saw many heroes emerge to help those most adversely impacted by the global pandemic. The Annual Report shares the origin of the Wayne County Cares Fund, and how the runaway success of a benefit concert helped galvanize our community and support the fund.
